Residential Dog Training

Our residential dog training, available in Essex (and throughout the UK), is our most favoured and well-received training programme, and it’s for good reason too. This truly innovative method has left dozens of owners who were about to give up on dog training and sent their dogs to us as a last resort stunned by the results. The Dog Guy Essex are leaders in the field of residential dog training.

So what happens? Throughout the training period, your dog will stay with us. For the best possible outcome, we focus on forming a close bond with your dog to gain a real understanding of their personalities, as every dog is different! As we go along, we’ll develop a customised course for your dog’s needs and personality. Along with routine physical activity and cerebral stimulation, your dog will attend daily training classes. Your dog has the option of staying in our opulent five-star kennel facilities or in a home environment, which are both based in Essex. Your dog is guaranteed to live like royalty after a long day’s training!

  • Training in all environments: fields, woods, parks, and towns. Your dog will work around multiple people and distractions, increasing the criteria as we go.
  • Your dog will be housed in our five-star kennels.
  • Handover session upon collection of your dog to cover training with you.
  • 90 minute follow up 1-2-1 session at our facilities.

  • Habituation training: getting your dog used to new stimuli; fireworks, household appliances and other loud noises.
  • Prevention training: chewing and biting, jumping up and resource guarding.
  • Desensitisation to be touched on their paws, ears and mouth - vital for visits to the vets and groomers.
